Who We Are
We are an organization of loosely affiliated friends and family who do stuff that we enjoy. The “Research Institute” is just a front to make it look like we’re a legitimate research organization, which we’re not. So don’t submit a resume to us looking for a job. By the way, the Latin in the coat of arms “Datum ex Historia” means “Data from Stories.”

Mission Statement
While there are many consulting and data companies that will pile through reams of data and report interesting findings to whoever hired them, we like to cut to the chase. We will find, manipulate, invent, and project data to suit the narrative you want to sell. We have found that between art, anecdote, and data, that art is the most persuasive followed by anecdote, and data.

Leadership
We really don’t have much leadership at this point. No Board of Directors, etc. That’s because we don’t make any money and don’t intend to.

If you want to be on the Board of Directors, we’re happy to let you run it, because we don’t know what it does. But you have to report the minutes.

Culture
The most important ingredient in our work force is the ability to create data out of thin air to provide legitimacy to the stories that our clients want to sell. So we have consistently employed the skills of artists who can create compelling narratives or visuals.

History
Our company was founded in the fall of 2021 on the way to Kroger’s at 6am on a Sunday. We thought, “wouldn’t it be cool if we had something like a research institute to lend an air of legitimacy to all the fake stuff we do.”

Careers
Like we said above, we don’t really have any jobs or money, so don’t be looking for a job from us. However, we’re certainly open to your ideas and suggestions, especially if you work for a data organization and have seen all the BS they put out there on their web site. We’ll keep your contributions anonymous.
